Worst Payroll App Ever

If you want to piss off your employees and make it hard, nearly impossible, for them to access their paystubs, use this App for their payroll information. It’s glitchy all the time. Hard to log on. And when it is working, it takes forever to upload and open any of the pages.

Pretty sure this is designed to be slow

The minutes it takes to open the app and load to make a punch adds up to hundreds of minutes for each employee every year that saves payroll money. So it’s great for business owners but I feel everyone else that uses this would beat up these software developers in person were they to reveal their identities

At the beginning when my company got this app for us it was great past few months I been bad take forever to load is on maintenance every night me thinking staff is getting fix with WiFi or with out still take forever to load I’m trying to login sometimes takes about 2 minutes I’m not allow to clock in early has to be right on the dot plus sent me the text message to verified I have the text message even before I can type in and hasn’t even login yet I been clocking in late because of this

Can’t access check paystubs when I go to click on the “Take me there” button. Trash.

The functionality of this app is terrible

This app is designed by 1st graders. It never updates it self on days I have worked, always crashes when I’m trying to look at my pay stubs, and the payactiv feature always logs me out and then shows I haven’t worked any days In the new pay period so if I ever needed money before my paycheck I wouldn’t be able to get it because the app says 0

Dash board don’t work, blank screen.

Take hours to clock in & out,using my time & not getting paid to reset phone & reinstalling app & still don’t work for hours.

Fine but slow

You need to have it up a full two minutes before you have need to clock in or out or you will be late, at least when it’s off the app on my iPhone. It’s ridiculously slow and I frequently need to ask my supervisor to make adjustments. This happens in various locations so that’s not the problem. No issues when it’s the app on the stationary iPad at work. Wish this would be resolved. It’s been ongoing for years

Text verification every log in

Why do I have to get a code texted to me every time I log in ??? I have limited minutes and my texts are always very slow causing me to lock in later than when I need to. I get maybe occasionally but every time? Even if I click remember device and have my log in saved I have to get a text and it’s the worst thing about the app.

Lazy customer service reps unable to resolve state tax issues in a reasonable amount of time. Payroll software works well.

Crashing a lot.

Not the best. Can’t upload PDF of stubs way too often. Crashes a lot can’t sign in. Updates seem to make the app WORSE.

Paycheck flex

This has got to be the worst app. That I have ever used. Completely unreliable, have to flip a coin to see if it will work. Need to uninstall every couple of weeks to get it working better for a few days, takes a bit of time to reinstall.

Horrible

This review is not about the app but about The people working for pay Chex. There’s been an ongoing issue with them about receiving my money and they have been giving me the run around. I’ve been told three times that a check was sent to me, and when I follow up I’m informed nothing was sent. Idk who else to contact in regards to this issue, at this point it feels like they’re trying to keep my money from me.

Functional but inconsistent

The app has everything you need, but any action buttons take a very long time to register or will flat out fail, especially the clock in/out buttons. Clocking in and out should be the priority feature, and yet it’s always a hassle. Reviewing pay adjustments is also hidden behind a couple random menus which is frustrating.

This has to be the laggiest, slowest, most unresponsive app I’ve used since the iPhone 4 days. Random freezes, random unable to access server errors, having to log in over and over again because the app freezes on initial boot. Sometimes the app boots to the dashboard, but never loads the UI, so your forced to force close the app and restart all over again, just to be met with random connectivity errors. I wish my employer didn’t use this trash!

This app is complete garbage. If you have a problem don’t bother contacting their customer service. They’ll just say they can’t help you and cut you off.

SCAMMERS

they take your all of your info and do nothing with it, you cannot even sign into your account and when you call for help you sit on hold for 2 hours to get hung up on. Terrible service

Time theft. Laggy controls. Poor layout.

I hope the department of labor shuts this app down for wage theft. I can spend up to 15 minutes a day just trying to clock in and out but the app will time out or randomly not recognize my device. I know I’m not the only person having these issues. Half of the employees seem to have an issue any given day. No specific reason based on hardware. It really defeats the purpose of using a personal device when it’s just easier to log everyone in on a computer that still requires a code from your device to log in.

How bout telling us to update the app before signing in?

How does this app have 4.8 out of five stars?. All the bad one star reviews. Definitely something is rigged, the ratings. All week long. This app is giving me problems. Sometimes it won’t take my clock in. Sometimes it won’t take my clock out. If I do a punch , the next day it doesn’t show. Many features do not work on the app. I have no knowledge I want my week, and time is for labor because all my missing punches, this app is really garbage. I have tried to load add load again add update, but the app still is terrible. The multiple times I have to put in a security code. One day I spent over an hour to log out. I tried to contact them, but won’t talk to me. They need to talk to a system administrator. My office told me that their response is that the system gets overwhelmed at times.

No way to resolve location issues

The app worked fine for TWO DAYS before refusing to allow me to punch in/out. It claims I’m “not in an allowed location”, even though I’m in my company’s only physical location. There is no way for users to troubleshoot issues within the app or determine/verify where “allowed locations” exist when situations like this occur. I shouldn’t have to go through HR/payroll just to have my punches documented.

Garnishment

If you’re an employee whose company uses Paychex, be aware—they are all about serving the employer, not the employees. If you run into issues, like I did with wage garnishment, don’t expect any help from them. They over-garnished my wages—taking out more than they were legally allowed—and then held the extra money for weeks before even beginning to process a refund. Worse, they absolutely refuse to speak with employees directly. You’re left in the dark, having to go through your employer for every question or concern, even when Paychex is the one responsible for the mistake. Their mobile app is another nightmare. It’s clunky, slow, and difficult to use. Good luck trying to find clear breakdowns of your pay or garnishment information. The app feels outdated and designed more for show than function. In short, Paychex prioritizes employers over employees, offers poor transparency, and provides a terrible user experience. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone who values fair treatment and timely payroll accuracy.

Trying to sign up but cannot get past the second address line because it’s saying my apt unit number is invalid and most of the form to fill out is cut off on the left side

App never works

I used to rely heavily on this app for clocking in and out and now it’s so unreliable. Can’t hardly click on anything to see information and it’s barely even opens. I don’t understand how it worked perfectly for so long and then with new updates everything turned to trash. Better off logging into your info on a desktop.

Every time I open this app it forces me to update. Should absolutely have a feature where you do not have to update every week. Sometimes I am not in a place with great internet but have to check the app.

Junk…constant freezes and crashes

The most garbage payroll app I have ever ATTEMPTED to use. I have to log in close the app About 9 times to get it to not freeze on the home page it has always been like this for the last year my company started using it…absolute junk.

Terrible

You can never get answers from the company. You can never speak to a live person that can help you through anything. It makes you do an update to a new version and the new version does not load on all phone. Stay away from this company andeverything that has to look good.

Too many restarts

I’m always told I’m not in the right spot to clock in when I’m at work in the building so I have to try several times to clock in and sometimes it’s say my phones not recognized when It’s the only phone I’ve used

When an app has fake five star bot ratings, all the reviews are one star it’s gonna be bad. This app is terrible and inefficient, so slow. Customer service is beyond terrible.
